Local Area and Attractions

Ayamonte is the closest town to the apartments. It is a typical small bustling Spanish fishing town with plenty of restaurants and bars down narrow cobbled streets. Catch a ferry from the harbour wall across to Vila Real in Portugal, or simply soak up the atmosphere in an unspoilt Spanish town. If you decide to pop across to Portugal there are a number of street markets from time to time in different towns.

It is a town with only approximately 18.600 inhabitants (in 2007) but during the summer months the town comes to life with the numerous tourists from around the world who are visiting this area. There is an old medieval centre in the town with historical buildings, narrow roads and a typical Spanish atmosphere. There are no cars in the central area which makes a stroll here very pleasant. There are river Cruises on the Guadiana. Children's water park, go karting, bird watching, cycling, horse riding and the famous Donana National Park close by.

The nearest larger city - Huelva - which is also the capital of the province is only a short way and a visit to the beautiful city of Seville is a must, whether for site seeing or shopping, this is a breathtaking city. Otherwise this part of Spain has many fiestas throughout the year.
