Local Area and Attractions
Ayamonte is the closest town to the apartments. It
is a typical small bustling Spanish fishing town with plenty of
restaurants and bars down narrow cobbled streets. Catch a ferry
from the harbour wall across to Vila Real in Portugal, or simply
soak up the atmosphere in an unspoilt Spanish town. If you decide
to pop across to Portugal there are a number of street markets from
time to time in different towns.

It is a town with only approximately 18.600
inhabitants (in 2007) but during the summer months the town comes
to life with the numerous tourists from around the world who are
visiting this area. There is an old medieval centre in the town
with historical buildings, narrow roads and a typical Spanish
atmosphere. There are no cars in the central area which makes a
stroll here very pleasant. There are river Cruises on the Guadiana.
Children's water park, go karting, bird watching, cycling, horse
riding and the famous Donana National Park close by.

The nearest larger city - Huelva - which is also
the capital of the province is only a short way and a visit to the
beautiful city of Seville is a must, whether for site seeing or
shopping, this is a breathtaking city. Otherwise this part of Spain
has many fiestas throughout the year.
